Meet April

I'm a mother of two and the founder of Lanky Groups. Before any of this, I was just a young woman from the Philippines trying to make ends meet. That background is exactly why I built this company the way I did.

I've spent over a decade in the BPO industry and as an Executive Assistant for global companies. I know what it takes to do this work well. And I know the difference it makes when someone is treated with real respect.

Lanky Groups exists for two reasons: to give talented professionals the opportunities they deserve, and to give businesses access to people who are genuinely invested in their success.

Why I Started This Company

I was born and raised in the Philippines. At 18, I started working to support my family. First as a cashier, then as a call center agent handling customer service and technical support. Over the years I moved through different BPO companies, learning a lot, but also seeing things that didn't sit right with me.

Hardworking, talented people being treated as cheap labor. Professionals giving everything they had and not being paid or respected for it. I watched it happen over and over, and it bothered me every single time. These were not just workers. They were skilled, dedicated individuals who deserved better.

In 2019, everything changed for me when I became a Virtual Assistant. It opened a door I didn't know existed. Today I serve as the Lead Executive Assistant at Recharge Capital, a company that genuinely values its people. For the first time in my career, I felt recognized, trusted, and empowered. It showed me what work could actually feel like.

But I never forgot the people still stuck in the old way of things. That's why I built Lanky Groups. To create a company where talented professionals are paid fairly, treated with respect, and given the chance to grow. And for the businesses we work with, to give them access to people who actually care about the work they do. That combination is what makes the difference.
